JOSSI WELLS WINS THE EPIC 8TH AFO EDITION 2010!
It was the big show we have all expected! With the best riders the event ha
s ever seen the Austr ian Freeski Open in Kaprun was definitely part of the worlds top events. Today the big finals went down under limited conditions as the wind was still too strong to get enough speed for all obstacles. In the end it was Jossi Wells (NZL) who really deserved the victory with a perfect and innovative run! read more here

The snowpark in Zell am See - Kaprun opened up its doors beginning of the month with a basic setup. Then only a few weeks later the majority of the Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park was finished including the proline which will be the venue for the Austrian Freeski Open. For this years highlight the proline will be again reshaped and pimped to welcome at the end of February some of the best freeskiers in the world. Last week Atomic Rider Tobi Tritscher and Tobi Gratz as well as Austrian Champ Patrick Hollaus came to the region of ‘One Big Park’ to have the first session on the new setup. 13. January 2010 FIRST CLASS RIDERS AT AFO 2010! The 8th edition of the Austrian Freeski Open is expecting top-class riders to compete. Among them are freeski legend Jon Olsson (SWE), the winner of the Jon Olsson Invitational 2009, Russ Henshaw (AUS), the winner of the Dew Tour 2008 Breckenridge, Bobby Brown (USA), the winner of the European Open 2008, Henrik Harlaut (SWE) and double Austrian champion Patrick Hollaus (AUT). With titleholder Elias Ambühl (SUI), the runner-up of the Austrian Freeski Open 2009, Bene Mayr (GER), the winner of the X Games slopestyle 2008, Andreas Håtveit (NOR) and the winner of the Nippon Open 2008, Jossi Wells (NZL), also four top-class Atomic pros will take part. They will all be fighting for the h ighest Austrian Freeski Open prize money up to now, US$ 20,000!

2010`s AUSTRIAN FREESKI OPEN REGISTRATION IS OPEN!To make sure you get the possibility to compete against some of the world`s best freeskiers you better register now for the Austrian Freeski Open 2010. The number of starters will be limited to 80 as there is only one qualification day. 1.October 2009
AFO 2010: NEW LOCATION, NEW DATE!Since some higher peaks have already been covered with snow, winter enthusiasts anticipate winter to return. Especia lly the freeskiers are eagerly waiting for one of the highlights: 2010`s Austrian Freeski Open and the Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park with a special setup of kickers, rails and creative obstacles will see international freeskiers showing off with their latest tricks. Just after the Austrian Freeski Open both the European Open and the European X-Games are going to happen. Therefore the Austrian Freeski Open will be kicking off a series of top class freeski events drawing several top riders from all over the world. Despite being an internationally highly acknowledged event, the Austrian Freeski Open will still remain a gathering of the freeskiing family. Besides the action in the park, an attractive package of side events, concerts and DJ acts will transform Zell am See - Kaprun into the centre of freesking. 18. August 2009
AUSTRIAN FREESKI OPEN´s PREMIERE AT KITZSTEINHORN 2010!For the first time Austria’s biggest freeskiing contest will hit Zell am See – Kaprun on February 25th to 28th. Some of the world's top freeskiers will meet up with the upcoming rookies of the region at Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park to win the biggest Austrian Freeski Open Prize purse ever. Competing in three categories, men`s, ladies` and rookies, the whole freeskiing scene will gather at this event, which is famous for both it's high level and it's familiar atmosphere. Don’t miss some high fiving skiing action as well as an attractive line up of side events at the 8th edition of the Austrian Freeski Open making it the highlight of the ONE BIG PARK winter season.
